Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVT)

Our Technicians are members of Professional Associations including; NAVTA (North American Veterinary Technician Assoc), and WVTA (WI Veterinary Technician Assoc).  They attend Continuing Education seminars and meetings throughout the year and are proud to offer your pet the best care available.

Michel Peterson, CVT (1998)
Hospital Manager

Michel grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and attended Waunakee Schools.  After High School she enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at Madison Area Technical College, graduating in 1994 with an Associates Degree, becoming Certified that same year.  After working in a couple of different clinics in Madison, she found herself at the Animal Hospital of Sun Prairie in 1998, and has been here ever since!  Some sad news; her dog 15 year old dog Gunner (pictured) recently passed away due to liver failure.  She has 4 cats; Sebastian, Thunder, October and Blizzard, and a Tarantula.  And currently lives in Token Creek.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and his children, time in the outdoors and the sun, boating, dog parks, reading, gardening and working on website construction for the Animal Hospital of Sun Prairie and the Wisconsin Veterinary Technician Association.

Abby Wilkins, CVT (2004)
Hospital Personnel Manager

Abby grew up in Waupun, Wisconsin. She attended Madison Area Technical College graduating from the Veterinary Technology Program in 2004 with an Associates Degree, becoming Certified that year also.  She came to the Animal Hospital of Sun Prairie right after graduating.  Recently married, Abby lives with her husband, Mike on a farmette in Markesan, Wisconsin.  She has 3 dogs, Austin, Rocky and Drama, 4 cats, Bear, Brandy, Baby and Squirt, 2 Guinea Pigs and 2 Goats!
