Some Things to Remember:

  • In an Emergency; If Possible, Call us for advice and let us know you are on your way
  • Pets do not understand pain and may try to bite or scratch you.
  • Apply pressure to wounds to stop or control bleeding.
  • Injuries may cause pets to go into shock. (Paleness in mouth, eyelids and lips. Weak and shallow breathing. Cool body. Semi-conscious. No response)
  • Keep warm with a blanket. If pet is unconscious, place head lower than body during transportation.
  • Avoid unnecessary movement during treatment.
  • Normal rectal body temperature for dogs and cats is 100.5 - 102.5 F.  If you are able to take your pets temperature, let us know.
