call ahead (837-5383), then procede directly
to our clinic. |
If your pet has any of these symptoms, call us to
be seen IMMEDIATELY Inability to breath; noisy
respiration, sudden blue tongue, gasping for breath Bleeding that won't stop; apply
pressure and call us Inability to urinate;
continually trying to go and can't Eye injury; if you can see a
scratch or foreign object or pet won't open eyelid (don't let
pet rub or scratch at eye) Seizures; more than 2 min long
or non-stop Penetrating injury extreme pain Inability to Deliver Puppies or
Kittens Vomiting; non-stop or unable to
keep even water down Loss of Balance or
Consciousness; with tremors, coma, staggering, blindness
or fainting Inability to Stand or Walk - Poisoning; bring us the container or
commercial name and specific chemical
Hit by vehicle obvious broken bones or
dislocated joints (if you can see
bone, or limb is at an akward angle) Burns Bloating (stomach) Allergic Reaction; swollen face
or hives on body Any other serious signs - don't
be afraid to call us! We would rather you call with a
question now than call us when it's too late!

If your pet has any of these symptoms, call us to
be seen TODAY or early TOMORROW Abnormal breathing or
coughing; pet is not frantic Vomiting and/or Diarrhea Seizures (occasionally and less
than 2 min long) Sudden Lameness Swallowed foreign object Itching; constant (without
self-mutilation) Lacerations (cuts); (if the
bleeding won't stop, this is urgent) Eye discharge; don't let your
pets rub at the eyes - this can cause it to worsen Broken or chipped teeth Bloody Urine (unless your pet is
a Male Cat - this could be urgent) Sudden appearance of a lump or a
lump that suddenly gets very large Ear Infections with severe
itching and self-mutilation

Some Things to Remember: - In an Emergency; If Possible, Call us for advice and let us
know you are on your way
- Pets do not understand pain and may try to bite or scratch you.
- Apply pressure to wounds to stop or control bleeding.
- Injuries may cause pets to go into shock. (Paleness in mouth,
eyelids and lips. Weak and shallow breathing. Cool body.
Semi-conscious. No response)
- Keep warm with a blanket. If pet is unconscious, place head
lower than body during transportation.
Avoid unnecessary movement during
treatment. Normal rectal body temperature for dogs and cats
is 100.5 - 102.5 F. If you are able to take your pets
temperature, let us know.
